The President Is Keeping His Promises, Here’s Who Is Not

Not everything is as it seems. The more left-leaning side of Congress continues to attempt to “slow down” all of Trump’s greatest movements while seemingly not doing the job they were elected to do. They seem to have confused what their purpose actually is with some idea that their voter base actually wants them to waste all their time slowing or stopping President Trump at every turn.

While some Democrats are realizing they need to stop this behavior, not all have. It’s time for their voter base to wake up and tell them to actually get to work.

As Written and Reported By Rachel del Guidice for the The Daily Signal:

Rep. Jim Jordan says President Donald Trump has accomplished a lot in his nearly 17 months in office but Congress has dropped the ball on making good on promises to the American people.

“Taxes have been cut, the economy is growing, unemployment is at its lowest level, [Justice Neil] Gorsuch is on the court, ISIS is backpedaling, the Iran deal is finished, North and South Korea have met, the hostages have come home, and three days ago, the embassy was put in Jerusalem,” Jordan, R-Ohio, said Thursday at an address to the Conservative Action Project.

“Compare and contrast that to Congress,” the former House Freedom Caucus chairman said. “Other than the tax cuts, you tell me what Congress has done that is worthwhile. You tell me what Congress has done that is consistent with the promises we made to the American people in that election, on that day, Nov. 8, 2016.”

He said Congress has disappointed the American people by caving to leadership and passing bad policy like the March 23 last-minute $1.3 trillion omnibus spending bill, failing to fund Trump’s border wall, and funding things against conservative values like Planned Parenthood, as well as failing to repeal Obamacare…..
