The Deal reached by former Donald Trump attorney, Michael Cohen, really does not sound all that great. Maybe it was the best that his defense could get out of the New York prosecutors. They were given the case against him from the Special Counsel investigations. You will note, that like all other charges that have been filed or referred by Robert Mueller, there is still no Trump collusion with Russia charges. The liberal press might call it vindication for Mueller, but wasn’t the charter for the Special Counsel to find collusion with Russians? Here is what Cohen pleaded to:

Cohen has been under investigation in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York for bank fraud, tax evasion and campaign finance violations.

The New York Times reported on Sunday that investigators were looking into $20 million in bank loans given to companies controlled by Cohen and his family. The 52-year-old lawyer is also being investigated over payments he made to women who claimed to have had affairs with President Donald Trump. FBI agents raided Cohen’s home, office and hotel room on April 7.

NBC News reported earlier Tuesday that Cohen was discussing a plea deal with the government. CNN reported that Cohen was not planning to cooperate with prosecutors as part of the deal.

New York prosecutors took over the Cohen investigation after a referral from special counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian government. It is unclear whether the New York case overlaps with the Mueller probe, though Cohen has been accused….
