House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has been at the helm of the Democrats in the House for 15 long years. She is so enamored of her own abilities that she argues that only she can fill the big shoes to lead the party and safely guide the nation. Besides having big shoes to fill, Ms. Pelosi has a big ego to go with it. The support for her seems to be eroding with each passing day. The GOP hopes that she will continue to lead the Democrats and provide the sound bites that make such great political commercials.

According to The New York Times, Pelosi is concerned that so many Democrats are concerned about her leadership in the House when “The fate of our nation is at stake in this election.”
Pelosi continues to grapple with the abdication of scores of Democrats — those vying to get into the House in the upcoming midterm election and those already there — who either don’t support her or won’t say if they do. As The Hill notes, there may be a least 50 candidates who are not prepared to endorse Pelosi’s continued leadership.
Pelosi warned the Times that anyone replacing her would have large shoes to fill and would need to demonstrate “a vision for the country” while unifying the party.
“What I have always tried to do is build a bridge to the future, and hope that would be in the majority,” Pelosi said. “If people want to be the bridge that I’m building toward, they have to show what’s on the other side of…….
