If you want to see what real midterm election meddling looks like, look no further than what Facebook has accomplished in the run-up to the 2018 mid-term elections. Acting as book judge, jury, and executioner, the social networking giant of the industry just deleted 800 sites that it had determined were violating its terms of usage. It matters not that the social media giant has continually moved the goal posts of compliance over the past three years. The conservative voice and conservative political community just took a massive hit to its voice. It is apparent that Facebook does not want a repeat for social network activism that they think torpedoed Hillary Clinton in 2016.

Facebook will ban election “misinformation” ahead of the midterms this year, including satirical posts which claim people can vote via text message.
Satirical posts about voting are common around elections, with most of them jokingly claiming that people can vote via text, stating the wrong voting date, or advising men to abstain from voting for social justice reasons.
In September, Hollywood star James Woods was locked out of his Twitter for posting such a tweet.
“We’re making a Woman’s Vote Worth more by staying home,” declared a fake, satirical Democratic Party advertisement posted by Woods. “#LetWomenDecide… #NoMenMidterm.”
This month, Facebook banned over 800 accounts and pages ahead of the midterms, accusing them of creating “misinformation.”
Many of the pages and accounts were conservative, libertarian, and anti-war.
